Thank you to everyone who attended our Remembrance Sunday ceremony yesterday. We had such a good turn out. Over 70 people came to listen to Roland who gave a very memorable multi media presentation in the Chart Gallery followed by John Beynon who read out the Royal British Legion service. Whilst, the Last Post was being played Chloe Hills helped by Chris Hills laid a poppy wreath. All the guests were then asked to place a poppy onto our new war horse sculpture by Suze Turland and Eden our own War Horse was there to watch. Afternoon tea was then served in the house to lighten the mood. It was a lovely afternoon despite the rain. We would like to say a big thank you to Flo, Sophie, Erica and Jordan in the stable yard. Also Chris Hills without whom the grounds would have been covered in leaves. Dave for car park duty and then the lovely job of washing up. Debbie, Bev, Maureen, Wendy, Clive and Glenn and Yvonne in the kitchen. Without our helpers we would never be able to put on any events. We raised enough money to pay the enormous veterinary bill. We also raised money for the Royal British Legion, so again thank you to everyone who came. Next Event the Christmas Fair, Sunday 4th December.
